DLSU Research Conference featuring women scientists and researchers

It was an annual gathering of seasoned, budding and foreign researchers and scholars. DLSU University Research and Coordinating office convened its faculty, students and researcher-scholars to partake a two to three day cerebral exercise. The highlight of the first was a keynote speech by a novel woman scientist in line with the international women’s month. After which I participated during the graduate school colloquium where I presented a paper regarding cultures of sustainability and multidisciplinary theory-criticism. I took the chance to make transversal lines between ecological crises, anarchism and cultural production. Although not all of the attendees were fully satisfied, the moderator welcomed the topic and pointed out , the vibrant collectives and autonomous groups I made mention were significant content-generators and practitioners of transmedia. I only made mention of the info shop from NCR, Cavite, Bikol, Marinduque Davao, but focused more on the common roots of Organic Minds and Maharlika Integral Emergence. The second day, I came deliberately as a participant only, an observer, waiting for an opportune time to invite others in the Project Bakawan arts fest which was already taking place at UP Diliman and an upcoming Translocal Conference in Corregidor about Philippine Studies. Luckily, I cam across some participants form the recently concluded 8th DLSU Arts Congress and convinced them to turn on their respective abstracts if not come at UP Diliman for the Bakawan Fest.
