CALABARZON Reg'l Gender and Development Convention slated

This is to invite your office to participate in the 2nd Calabarzon Regional Gender and Development Convention to be held on May 31 to June 1, 2012 at Kimberly Hotel, Amadeo Road, Tagaytay City. The convention is being organized by the Regional Development Council - Sectoral Committee on Gender and Development through the Regional GAD Resource Center.

The convention with a theme, “A Call for Partnership among Local Government Units, Government Agencies, Private Sector and Civic Society Organizations to Strengthen Gender Mainstreaming Efforts in Calabarzon”, aims to provide a venue to share best practices, discuss current and emerging gender issues and concerns as well as identify strategies to improve gender and development mainstreaming in the different sectors. Target participants are GAD focal persons/program coordinators, budget and planning officers and other GAD key players who have already undergone Gender Sensitivity Training or other GAD related capability building. Attached is the program of activity for reference.

To register, please fill-out the attached registration form and submit to RDC Secretariat through email or fax on or before May 14, 2012. We will be charging a participation fee of P3,200.00 per participant to cover the cost for the board and lodging, materials and resource persons for live-in and P2,800.00 for live-out. Payment can be made thru check payable to NEDA TRDC IV - A or cash payment be deposited to Land Bank-Calamba with account number 0542-1055-00.
